Most jobs take three to seven days, depending on how much water there was, the flooring type, the building and the weather. Building repairs after drying can add more time. We'll give you an estimate after our first visit.

Yes, let them know as early as you can. Emergency steps to stop further damage, like extracting water and starting drying, are normally expected, but hold off on permanent repairs until your insurer has approved them.

It depends on your policy. Sudden events like a burst pipe are commonly covered, while gradual leaks or some types of flooding may be excluded. Check your policy wording or ask your insurer. The Insurance Council of NZ (icnz.org.nz) also has helpful guidance.
